Researching Color Psychology

As a student at The Ohio State University, I researched color psychology and its effect on productivity. I wrote and designed a modern report paper. I chose to use a two-column grid for the report. I used gray as an accent color to complement the images. I avoided using a strong color hue to not show a bias since I was discussing color.

The Poster

I later focused my research on how color affects work environments. I designed an informational poster to present my findings.

All graphics on the poster were designed by me via Adobe Illustrator. The style and shape of the graphics I designed give my poster a visual unity. Color also helps to create a visual harmony.

The use of negative space of the three-column grid allows breathing room for information to sit comfortably. The image-to-word ratio is balanced.

The Logo

In the bottom right of the final poster is this logo. This is a unifying mark  to group together six posters all relating to health . It consists of three synchronized icons to represent all of six specific topics. The body represents physical health topics of organ trafficking and physical fitness. The earth represents environmental health through veganism and water health. The mind represents psychological health topics of nomophobia and color psychology.  The hexagonal shape represents the fact there are total of six topics.
